supper is always good! and some other random stuff
i dunno why but i like the feeling of going out late at night, around midnight. haha
maybe it's because there's lesser cars on the streets, lesser people in general but then again there's so many drunkens and clubbers roaming around the city.
two weeks ago, penny said she wanna try pancakes from a resturant called stokers. i went there two years ago and didnt find their pancake any better than the one from pancake parlour, which is almost everywhere in melbourne. but since she wants to try, and i always go out on a friday night, there's no reason for me not to bring a friend of more than 10 years there right..... haha.
so yesterday, went to pick up penny, guosheng and shear lene at 11pm. you can call it a mini riverside gathering since all of us were from riverside, but then i know penny cause she was my classmate for all 4 years in sec sch, and she is attached to guosheng, and guosheng is living with shear lene. so, we didnt see it as a sch gathering anyway.
even though i've known penny for so many years, i dont think i've ever talked to her so much in a single outing. i think the 4 of us talked so much that we went from what happened in the afternoon to pre-maritial sex and marriage. found out how different penny's view is so different to mine and surprised at how shear lene's one is quite similar to mine. guosheng didnt talk that much for me to know what he really thinks because he's tired and crippled! soccer incident he had in the afternoon. lol.
after stokers we went to hawker's cafe. so many people talking so loudly. must had been made deaf from the loud music in clubs. and because i commented on that, we started talking about speaking volumes also. that's how random we got to yesterday. continued talking and then i think we ended up at the topic of living together with in-laws.
then at about 3+ guosheng (and maybe shear lene) really couldnt take it anymore and i sent them home. petrol was running low. if not i think i would had drove myself around again. like driving in melbourne. i've always thought that melbourne's road is so much nicer to drive, until i told them that yesterday. all three of them told me it's the same thing in msia.
but... where got.....?
msia roads so many holes. i think it's because they drive in msia at 2am too. i don't. i only do that in melbourne. maybe that's why. but still, msia roads got so many holes! and the people change lanes without signalling, ah bengs speeding in their modified protons and peroduas. when i drive in melbourne i like it because it's so quiet and most importantly, i know the air outside is clean. even just imaginging msia now in my own room i get turned off by the random smells of drains and some kind of people.
sometimes i wished i had my clk in melbourne and maybe the mazda in msia. better car for better roads. talking about cars again, more than ever i wished i have a ferrari. i think i've expressed my yearn for a ferrari so often to all of my friends that when one day i finally buy one, all of them are going to be like 'woah, finally...', with the sigh of relieve!
anyway, now i think i still keep in contact with so many friends because i make the effort to ask them out at least once in a while. haha, we talked about primary sch friends yesterday also and i really think the reason why we still meet up is cause every year, someone will make the effort to gather everyone together. when it all started it was syek yi, and then it became me, last year it was kangyu.
that's how friends should be anyway, always making the effort to stay in touch with each other. once heard a saying that goes something like 'nobody can leave you if you dont let them do so'. very true eh?
